Robin was Alena’s second anime convention costume (waaay back in the day). It was long before any of us really learned how to sew, so the apron was constructed using a Days Inn button-repair kit, because it was the only sewing equipment she had in her apartment. The dress, shoes, petticoat and glasses were modified found items, and the pendant was made from a rock, a garbage bag twist-tie, and some nail polish. (Classy!)

Some years later, Alena pulled the ancient costume out of the bottom of the closet and wore it again at a convention, just for fun — and we did a silly little photoshoot featuring a special guest appearance by Laura as The Count of Monte Cristo from Gankutsuou.
